Sweet Potato and Jalapeno Soup

  1. After vegetables are sauteed add the sweet potato mash and chicken stock.
  2. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  3. To finish the soup remove from heat and blend with stick blender until velvety smooth, add cream and season to taste with Cajun Shake and Louisiana Gold Green Sauce.
  4. In 5 quart stock pot render bacon for 5 minutes on high heat, remove bacon and then add diced vegetables and saute for 15 minutes on medium heat.
Yield: 1 gallon
Preptime: 20 minutes
Cook time: 1 hour 35 minutes
